Royal National Mòd

The Royal National Mòd is organised by An Comunn Gàidhealach (The Highland Association) which was founded in Oban in 1891 and has HM The Queen as its Patron. It is Scotland’s premier Gaelic festival and provides opportunities for people of all ages to perform across a range of competitive disciplines including Gaelic music and song, highland dancing, instrumental, drama, sport and literature.

Jennifer has won a number of Gold medals for clarsach playing, singing with self accompaniment (clarsach) and clarsach duet playing at both junior and senior competitions and was an adjudicator at the Royal National Mòd in 2009 and 2010.

In her role as Convener of the Music Committee with the Clarsach Society, Jennifer operates as liaison with the Mod on all matters relating to the annual clarsach competitions.
