Tuition, Mentoring & Workshops for Harp, Piano and Music Theory.
For nearly 25 years, I have been tutoring at various Fèisean across Scotland, The Edinburgh International Harp Festival, The Gordon Gaitherin as well as teaching private lessons on clarsach, piano and music theory.
As part of my degree at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland (formerly the RSAMD) I did a Techniques of Teaching course which gave me a great understanding of all elements of teaching. The tutor training course run by Fèisean Nan Gaidheal taught all aspects needed to be a well-rounded tutor while and I have also attended the Dare to be a Teacher workshop run by The Clarsach Society and the Edinburgh International Harp Festival.
Through the Youth Music Initiative, I have given fun and educational workshops in schools across Scotland and I am an alumna, mentor and trainer for Live Music Now Scotland, offering mentoring and confidence-boosting workshops to new recruits.
